Iain (Davo) has continued to develop his project management skills since joining Point in 2007 and has demonstrated his capability with the delivery of multiple highly challenging projects in a variety of roles. Iain has grown into a competent Project Manager and his passion for excellence has been astounding. In recent months Iain has also given his own time to assist in the establishment of the Young and Emerging Project Professionals (YEPP) Special Interest Group with the AIPM in the ACT region. Great effort Davo and worthy of Point’s Best on Ground for the Quarter!

These accolades were especially rewarding as the evening was held as part of the 25th International Project Management Association (IPMA) World Congress.

Dave has been invaluable for Point since his commencement in 2010, responsible for the delivery of Project Management services to some of Point’s key clientelle with involvement in each of the following projects:

• Qantas Wide Body Maintenance Bay Project, Sydney Airport;
• Qantas Hangar Refurbishment, Sydney Airport;

• Defence Headquarters Ground Training Wing Project, Wagga Wagga.

Paul O’Sullivan was the lead project manager from Point Project Management. Whilst receiving support and advice throughout the project, Paul was responsible for all project management activities associated with completion of the project.

Paul was present on the project from the initial start up meeting with the client through to practical completion on each community complex.

Paul’s role was all encompassing including drafting scopes of work, liaison and interaction with client and stakeholders, running procurement for the installation of the demountables, drafting contracts for execution, monitoring performance in relation to time quality and cost during construction.

The Private Health Insurance Administration Council engaged Point Project Management in November 2009 to project manage the fit-out their new national office at Level 2, 10-12 Brisbane Avenue, Barton.

Iain Davidson was assigned as the Project Manager as part of Point’s team for the delivery of new office accommodation. The Project involved an (almost) impossibly strict timeframe, which incorporated a shutdown period and a tight budget, to achieve occupation by the 5th of February 2010. Iain drove the project through initiation, scoping, planning, procurement and construction, completing the project in six weeks, inclusive of the Christmas and construction industry’s shutdown period. This epitomizes Iain’s project management application. Iain ensured the appropriate blend, weight and attention to each of the PMBoK areas to achieve this amazing outcome.
